Question: I'm applying for a job and I need to be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Does the library have anything that can help?

Answer:

Drake University subscribes to Lynda.com, which offers thousands of videos and online tutorials for a variety of software. To access Lynda.com, log in to myDrake (https://my.drake.edu) and click on the Lynda.com link in the Learning Resources area. You will need to create a free Lynda.com account, after which you can search for specific Office products. Filters for skill level and video duration are particularly helpful for identifying those videos that will be most useful to you.

Also, if you have a public library account within the state of Iowa, you can access LearningExpress Library: http://www.statelibraryofiowa.org/services/online-resources/learningexpresslibrary/learningexpresslibrarypage. LearningExpress Library offers self-tests in many different areas and includes some resources for Microsoft Office.

Finally, the library has quite a few books and e-books that can help with building Microsoft Office skills.
