Q. Why does my article or ebook say "No full text available" in SuperSearch?

I find an article or ebook with a green check mark that says "Online access", but when I click View Online, it just says "No full text available" and doesn't provide me with a link. How do I get the full text?

Answer

SuperSearch is experiencing an indexing problem that is causing ebooks and articles to display "No full text available" instead of a full text link. We understand how problematic this is, and we share your frustration. The problem is expected to be resolved with a re-indexing job that will take place on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.

Until then, there are some workarounds you can try.

For Ebooks:

Try searching our major ebook collections directly, such as Ebook Central, EBSCO eBook Collection, JSTOR Books, or Springer Books.

For Articles:

If you know the name of the journal, try browsing for the article using Journal Finder

You can search for the article title in Google Scholar and use the "Full Text @ Drake" link to retrieve a full text link.

Of course, you can always contact the library using one of the methods on the right, and we'll try to find the full text for you.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope to have the issue resolved very soon.
