Question: I am trying to search the wall street journal, but the link is not working properly.

Answer:

Hello,

I apologize that your question was not addressed yesterday.  While logged into Drake, I have just accessed the Wall Street Journal 1984- from our Journals list link, and was also able to search without difficulty.  Here are the instructions to get to the WSJ in this manner.

On the library's home page http://library.drake.edu/ under "Find" go to the Find Journals (Journals List) option. Search for the journal title in the journals search box, NOT THE SUPERSEARCH BOX.  Or, for more specific results, use the Advanced Search, and change the Search Type from Contains to “Begins with” before searching.

When the results come up, scroll to Wall Street Journal with the correct ISSN 1092-0935 . You will see two separate entries. One indicates our print holdings, and the other our online holdings. There is a link to the database in which we have the online holdings, which reads:

Wall Street Journal (Proquest) 1984- present.  This is an online version of the Eastern edition.

I did notice that the old link from the catalog record for the Eastern edition on microfilm is not working.  That will be reported.  Thank you.
